Our members Bonnie & Maree distributed dictionaries to a number of schools in the Tauranga/Papamoa region. Dictionaries in Schools is a global initiative of past Rotary International President, Bill Boyd, who is a New Zealander. It is a part of the ongoing goal of Rotary International for the development of literacy worldwide.

We received this heartwarming thank you message from teacher David at Fairhaven School expressing their gratitude and how the school integrates them into their curriculum – nga mihi David

We are delighted to announce that the Papamoa Rotary Club has generously donated a set of dictionaries to our year four students in Rata and Totara Pods. Maree and Bonnie from Papamoa Rotary Club came in to present the students their very own dictionaries. They will be for students to use in class and can be taken home at the end of the year. This thoughtful gift will undoubtedly enrich our students’ learning. With these dictionaries, our students will embark on a journey of discovery, exploring new words and enhancing their vocabulary

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club for their generous donation.”
