What a great evening on Thursday night – $2,000 plus per member was raised last year!
As always our club members did Papamoa Rotary proud by supplying such an array of finger foods. With about 20 visitors from community groups within Papamoa and Te Puke, on board to receive the funding support they all deserve.
On opening the meeting President Deb acknowledged all the fundraising was made in Christa’s Presidential year, from golf tournament, to movie nights, singles night, quiz night and other smaller events. She also acknowledged the close relationship with the Bluehaven group and recently Mitre 10 in Papamoa.
Nathan York (CEO of Bluehaven) in addressing the gathering spoke of the close relationship with Rotary and has committed to continue that relationship given the role they play in growing the community base. He also announced the opening of the first phase of the Papamoa East retail development on November 5th. He encouraged all to come along that evening.
